Sourdough bread is my newest addiction

This past year I have really gotten into eating sourdough bread. Over the years we have all heard how bread is not good for us and when I started competing the break they recommended was Ezekiel bread which is sprouted bread. Well watch out Ezekiel because there are so many benefits to sourdough! Here they are:

  • It’s good for your gut! Because there is a fermentation process and not a yeast process it is full of B Vitamins, Folate and Iron, as well as pre and probiotics

  • It has a lower glycemic index - which means it won’t cause your blood sugar to spike

  • Good for Gluten sensitivity

  • It has natural preservatives

  • May help with weight loss

Those are a few things so go on ahead and grab yourself some! I just had a piece with a little olive oil on it. YUM!
