A Year End Reflection And My Vision For 2026
Taking A Moment To Reflect
As the year comes to an end, I find myself looking back on everything we walked through together. Every conversation, every story you shared with me, every moment of vulnerability, and every message from someone saying, “I needed this today.” This community continues to inspire me in ways I cannot fully put into words.
Whether this was your first year living with an ostomy or you have been on this journey for many years, you showed courage. You navigated challenges. You learned new routines. You continued showing up for yourself even on the days that felt heavy. That matters. It all counts. And I hope you take a moment to acknowledge just how far you have come.
What This Year Taught Me
This year reminded me that healing is not a straight line. Some weeks felt full of confidence and flow, while others reminded me that my body has its own timeline. Living with an ostomy means learning to trust yourself differently. It means giving yourself grace. And it means celebrating the small wins, because they add up in beautiful ways.
It also taught me, once again, how powerful community is. Sharing our stories brings a level of understanding and connection that cannot be manufactured. You have shown me strength, humor, honesty, and heart. And I am grateful for every person who shared a moment of their life with me this year.
My Vision For 2026
As we step into 2026, I am carrying a clear and hopeful vision. I want this to be a year where you feel strong in who you are. A year where you trust your routines, feel confident in your body, and know that you can live a full, beautiful life with an ostomy.
I also see 2026 as a year of connection. More support. More shared stories. More encouragement. More people realizing they are not alone. Living with an ostomy should not feel isolating. It should feel supported, understood, and empowered. And that is what I want to continue building with you.
Most of all, I want this to be a year where you embrace your life with more hope and more certainty. You have already come so far. You have already proved to yourself that you can do hard things. Let 2026 be the year you walk forward with more confidence than ever before.
A Year End Reminder For You
You made it through another year.
You learned.
You grew.
You adapted.
You showed up.
There is so much goodness ahead of you.
So much joy to experience.
So many moments to celebrate.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. It is one of the greatest honors of my life to walk alongside this community.
Here is to a beautiful year ahead.
Here is to confidence.
Here is to comfort.
Here is to the life you are building, one day at a time.
