Journaling Journey
I woke up this morning planning what 2022 is going to look like. Every year I set my goals and create a vision board. This year is no different and I decided one of my goals for the year is daily journaling. I thought why not bring my daily thoughts and journaling write here on my website. I will get up each morning, read my Bible verse for the day, start meditating again (I used to do it daily and love it), then go into 10 minutes of visualization, and open this page and write in the moment instead of in a book. Why not bring you all into my daily thoughts?
So here we are! Today is Dec., 31st, 2021, New Years Eve day. I took the last week off of social media. I don’t know about you but I found myself comparing to others, getting lost in the scroll hole way too much and constantly thinking about what to post. I have definitely needed the break and almost feel like I need to (police) myself when I am on social going into 2022. During this break I have found so much more time, I have enjoyed my family and friends, John and I have been playing our annual Rummy 500 games, we also started to play Monopoly this year. We will finish up the games on Sunday then it will be back to work and occasional games.
I sat down and wrote my goals for the year and for the first time I am not focusing on an income goal for the year nor chasing a title for my network marketing career, nor worrying about how many “followers” I have on social media, etc. I always have had that as the first thing under my business goals and this year I am not going that route. Before I get into what my goals are. Here is how I set it up. Each year I write down 3 Personal goals, 3 Family goals, and 3 business goals. I did the same for this year but decided to take 5 main things that I want to really make happen and focus completely on those.
My main personal goal this year is to maintain the weight I am at now while creating muscle. I want to feel strong again and not focus on dieting or losing pounds. It has been a long time since I have decided to not worry about losing weight.
My family goals are different this year. I usually write spend QT with each of my children/grandchildren, Sunday family dinners, etc. Those are no longer goals, the are just now non negotiable. Now that we are back in NH those are just happening so why have a goal around it.
For my business well it is taking a different route, my plan is to continue to build my relationship with Hollister, to gain commercial video and print work for a minimum of 2 companies, to speak about life in an Ostomy on a minimum of 2 stages and to grow The Beautiful Bag Podcast to 1,000 listeners each episode.
I am excited to see where this year leads and to get to know you all a lot more. What are some of your goals for this year?
I would love to hear them!
