Small Actions That Lead to Big Impact

We live in a world that celebrates big wins; rank advancements, promotions, launches, and milestones. But what I’ve learned over the years is that it’s not the big moves that build your life. It’s the small, consistent ones you do when no one’s watching.

When I look back at where I started, it wasn’t in leadership or sales at all.
It was in bookkeeping and accounting!!! Talk about excitement, spreadsheets, numbers, and long hours oh my!

John (back then, before we were even married) once looked at me and said,
“You have too much personality for this. You need to go into sales.”

He was right.

At that time, I was a single mom just trying to figure out how to build a better life.
I wanted to learn how to make money and which industry could give me the most opportunity. He showed me that sales was it, that it was the one career where your effort directly matched your results.

He taught me that in sales, you have the ability to hit your quotas, outrun your quotas, and grow yourself in ways you never thought possible.

And that’s where it all started! Corporate sales.

Years later, when I stepped into the network marketing world back in 2011, I brought that same mindset with me. Show up. Be consistent. Do the work.

Because what I learned then, and what still holds true today, is that success doesn’t come from one big leap it comes from small steps, done faithfully, over time.

It’s a great foundation for what we’re talking about today, showing up and trusting yourself, even in the small steps.

The Power of Small Steps

You don’t build confidence by doing something once. You build it by showing up consistently, especially when it’s inconvenient.

I used to think success came from big bursts of energy or waiting for the perfect moment.
But now, as I build Heritage Club and lead women who are creating their own freedom, I see that progress looks a lot like grace in motion.

It’s the quiet, daily decisions that shape who you become.

10 Small Actions That Lead to Big Impact

Sometimes that “small action” is sending one message of encouragement to a teammate.
Sometimes it’s choosing to get on that Zoom call when you’d rather scroll.
Sometimes it’s waking up early to write your vision down again.

But it can also look like this:

  1. Reaching out to that one person you know needs this in their life.

  2. Filming content even when you’re afraid to get on camera.

  3. Writing a post that’s been on your heart, even if you’re nervous to hit “share.”

  4. Following up with someone who showed interest but never replied.

  5. Taking 10 minutes to plan your day with intention.

  6. Listening to a podcast or training that helps you grow.

  7. Sitting down for a real, heart-to-heart conversation with someone who needs encouragement.

  8. Making that one phone call you’ve been putting off.

  9. Checking in with a customer just to say hi and see how they’re doing.

  10. Saying a prayer over your goals before you start your day.

Those are the quiet, unseen actions that lead to the big breakthroughs.

The truth is, the small steps you take today are building something you can’t even see yet.
And one day, when you look back, you’ll realize that the things that felt small were actually the moments that changed everything.
