Celebrating My 6-Week Post-Surgical Milestone: Rediscovering Myself after Implant Removal
Greetings, beautiful souls! It's been six incredible weeks since I bid farewell to my breast implants and embarked on a transformative journey towards reclaiming my health and well-being. Today, I wanted to update you all on my progress and share the amazing changes I've experienced post-surgery. The decision to remove my implants was driven by my struggle with Breast Implant Illness (BII), a journey that has enlightened me to the profound impact our bodies can have on our overall quality of life. So, let's dive right in!
One of the most astonishing realizations I've had since removing my implants is the clarity that has returned to my mind. I never realized just how foggy my brain had been until I experienced the sharpness and mental acuity I have now. It's as if a veil has been lifted, allowing me to fully embrace each moment with a renewed sense of clarity and focus.
In the past six weeks, I've dedicated myself to a gentle but consistent exercise routine. Daily walks have become a cherished part of my routine, helping me reconnect with nature and soak in the healing energy that surrounds us. Recently, I received the green light from my doctor to reintroduce upper body workouts, which has ignited a flame of excitement within me. I'm eager to dive back into my LOVE of strength training and watch my body flourish as I rebuild my strength.
As part of my ongoing detoxification journey, I'll be reintroducing hot yoga into my weekly routine. Not only does it offer a soothing balm for both my body and mind, but it also promotes detoxification through sweat and deep stretching. Hot yoga allows me to reconnect with my body and foster a sense of inner peace. The combination of strength-building exercises and the calming practice of hot yoga is precisely what my body needs to continue its healing process.
A vital component of my recovery has been adopting a Mediterranean-style diet, which my body truly loves. This wholesome and balanced approach to eating has provided me with the necessary nutrients to support my healing journey. I prioritize fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, healthy fats, and whole grains, allowing my body to thrive from the inside out.
In addition to physical activities and nourishment, I've dedicated time to explore various healing modalities. From meditation and breath work and holistic therapies, I've embarked on a holistic healing journey that nurtures my mind, body, and soul. These practices have become an integral part of my daily routine, enhancing my overall well-being and providing solace during moments of reflection.
Lastly, I want to use my experience to empower other women who may be facing similar struggles. If you're experiencing unexplained symptoms or suspect that your breast implants might be the cause, I urge you to listen to your body and consult a surgeon experienced in explant procedures. Removing my implants has been life-changing, and I'm here to offer support, guidance, and an empathetic ear to anyone who needs it. Feel free to reach out to me anytime; together, we can navigate this journey towards reclaiming our health and vitality.
As I reflect on the past six weeks, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for the progress I've made since removing my implants. The fog has lifted, and I've discovered a renewed zest for life. With each passing day, I'm embracing my body's resilience and witnessing the remarkable healing that comes with honoring its needs. Let us continue to support and uplift one another, fostering a community of empowered women who prioritize their well-being above all else.
Until next time, stay radiant and always listen to the whispers of your body.
With love and healing, LeeAnne
