A Free Guide
A first-year companion for the woman who didn't get to ease into this.
If you found your way to this page, something in your life has changed, or it is about to. Maybe surgery is on the calendar. Maybe it happened last week. Maybe it happened years ago, and you are only now realizing that no one ever sat down and told you what was actually coming after.
I had a full hysterectomy at 45, and overnight my body went from making the hormones it had made for my entire life to making almost none of them. There was no taper, no transition, no slow descent the way the magazines describe perimenopause. What I needed in that first week was not a brochure. It was a woman who had walked through it sitting across from me with a cup of tea, telling me the truth.
I did not have her, so I wrote this guide for the woman who does not have her either. It is what I wish someone had handed me the week of my surgery.
