Week 2 Update: Embracing Freedom and Healing After Explant Surgery!

Hey, fabulous peeps! I'm back with an exciting update on my journey after undergoing an explant surgery to bid farewell to those breast implants. Week 2 had been a game-changer filled with progress, freedom, and healing vibes yup! From soaring through the skies without a care to experiencing remarkable improvements in my symptoms, let's dive into the empowering details of this transformative week!

So, Guess what? I had the time of my life jetting off to a conference in Utah during my second week of post-explant recovery. It’s not the first time I have flown only days after a surgery and I got permission to from my Dr. as long as I was back in time for our appointment on Thursday. I was a little concerned about flying but it went off without a hitch! And I got to fully enjoy the Launch of the new business I am in. I am so excited about that (more to come in later blogs about it). I had no discomfort, no worries—just pure bliss and confidence soaring through the skies. It's a reminder that I'm on the path to reclaiming my body and my life.

I seriously can't contain my excitement because my symptoms are improving by leaps and bounds. Say goodbye to dry eyes, joint aches, and muscle pains! It's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I'm feeling more vibrant and alive than ever before. Explanting was the best decision I ever made, and I'm embracing the joy of living symptom-free.

As part of my healing journey, I've added my daily walks back into my routine, and let me tell you—it's been a game-changer! Since moving back from NYC a few years ago I now walk along the river down by the old Mill buildings, at times its peaceful and others busy with everyone working. These walks not only contribute to my physical well-being but also nourish my soul big time. It's a powerful reminder that healing takes place step by step, with each walk bringing me closer to a renewed sense of vitality and I can’t wait to get into the gym again lol.

Thursday, I paid a visit to my doctor and the progress is remarkable. The stitches are out, and guess what? There's no inflammation around my scars. Can I get a virtual cheer for that? It's a testament to the healing process and the care I've given myself. My scars are badges of strength, and I wear them proudly as a symbol of my journey. And we all know I have a ton of them.

Can we get a drumroll, please? It's time to celebrate a major milestone—I've graduated from the binder to a sports bra! Woohoo! The feeling of freedom and comfort is beyond words. It's a tangible sign of progress and a step closer to embracing my natural self. Rocking a sports bra has never felt so empowering, and I'm savoring every moment of this newfound freedom.

Throughout week 2, I've been pampering myself with holistic self-care practices. From nourishing my body with wholesome foods to practicing mindfulness and relaxation techniques, I'm all about self-love and healing from within. Embracing holistic care is an act of empowerment, and it's a reminder that I am in control of my well-being and my journey towards radiant health.

Week 2 has been a journey of freedom, healing, and empowerment after my explant surgery. Soaring through the skies without implants, experiencing relief from debilitating symptoms, embracing daily walks, celebrating scar progress, and embracing the comfort of a sports bra—it's been a week filled with triumphs. With holistic self-care as my compass, I'm reclaiming my body, my health, and my life. Stay tuned for more empowering updates as I continue to thrive and shine!
